Vaco has partnered with a Property Management company with a Commercial Office space in Carmel, IN to hire a Commercial Building and HVAC Maintenance Technician. ROLE OVERVIEW: The Building Maintenance Technician is the operational backbone of a multi-building commercial office complex. You will perform routine maintenance, proactively troubleshoot building systems, and respond to service requests from tenants, visitors, and leadership with professionalism and urgency. This is a hands-on, on-your-feet role across a four-season property with diverse and dynamic maintenance needs year-round. REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of experience supporting commercial office space (Class A Building experience is highly preferred) Ability to work on: HVAC basics: filters, belts, and related upkeep Automatic doors - repair and maintenance Key locks and access hardware Lighting - bulb replacement and fixture work Plumbing: toilets, sinks, and fixtures Elevator maintenance experience is nice to have but not required Strong communication skills - must be able to professionally service tenants, visitors, and building leadership Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and at heights REQUIREMENTS: Valid US work authorization required Personal vehicle required Pre-employment drug screening and background check required Must be comfortable working at heights Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time Must be able to work Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm with occasional on call hours COMPENSATION & BENEFITS $65,000 - $75,000 annual base salary Employer-sponsored health insurance Paid time off and company holidays Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
