Position Summary

Position Summary:

Advocate and support the Corporate Win Strategy by supervising the receipt, storing, and delivery of materials, finished goods, level-loads, equipment and supplies to meet internal and external customer needs.

Supervisory responsibility includes, but is not limited to training and developing subordinates, delegating work assignments, writing and conducting performance appraisals, coaching and counseling employees and administering disciplinary procedures up to and including Written Warnings.

Essential Function:

  • Leads and directs the warehousing of raw materials and/or finished goods in the facility.

  • Provides functional direction, procedures and policies to all factory warehouse operations and monitors their performance and compliance.

  • Accountable for MFCD-Irvine Stockroom materials metrics and Standards of Performance.

  • Help define and implement automated systems to plan and track material flow from suppliers through stockrooms to deliver to the Value streams.

  • Ensure all the MFCD-Irvine's material management policies are consistent with the inventory control objectives of the Corporation.

  • Advise on supplier managed inventory (Consignment) and assure proper policies are adhered with regarding supplier-based contracts with customers.

  • Support internal or external audit requirements relative to inventory control functions.

  • Prepare and manage department budget within established guidelines.

  • Provide professional development for all Stockroom team members.

  • Explain and support company policies and procedures.

  • Actively support and implement lean principles.

  • Facilitate Kanban, materials management and routing techniques

  • Work with team members to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Constantly identify and eliminate waste in assigned departments.
  • Champion Lean Kaizen events to identify cost and time savings.
  • Participate in cost-reduction programs.
  • Selects and negotiates contracts for public storage warehouses.
  • Promote and enforce compliance of safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety investigations and audits.
  • Address safety non-compliance.
  • Ensure quality standards are met that emphasize and focus on continuous improvement in an effort to improve and prevent errors.
  • Contain the source of quality issues and coordinate any corrective action activities.
  • Develop and deploy standardized work instructions of assigned department(s).
  • Ensures process stability through following standardized work as well as training and onboarding effectiveness.

Job Requirement:

  • Education and experience at a professional level typically acquired through a B.A. /B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline or equivalent.
  • Four or more years of directly related experience and demonstrated ability to perform in the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results.
  • Substantial practical knowledge and understanding of products, manufacturing processes, and/or specialty areas in quality or operations support, including applicable information systems and reports (e.g. MRP or other planning/execution systems).
  • General knowledge of business and government regulations (e.g. manufacturing specifications, FAA, safety).
  • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives.
  • Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities.
  • Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals.
  • Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive changes.

  • Pay Range: $83250 to $138550 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
