Job Description

Join Our Team as a Senior Human Resources Generalist

EBAD is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Simsbury, CT. Reporting to the HR Business Leader, this role is ideal for a strong HR professional who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and is comfortable operating independently while supporting both employees and people leaders.

This is a key role within our manufacturing environment, where you will help drive consistency, strengthen leadership capability, and contribute to a positive, high-performing culture.

About the Role

As a Senior HR Generalist, you will balance daily HR execution with involvement in broader initiatives that support engagement, retention, and performance. This role plays a dual focus - providing direct support to employees while also coaching people leaders to effectively manage their teams.

You will independently manage a client group, serve as a trusted resource, and bring a practical, solutions-oriented approach to resolving issues, supporting development, and maintaining a positive employee experience. This role requires strong judgment, ownership, and the ability to influence without direct authority.

Key Responsibilities

HR Partnership:
Independently support a client group of employees and people leaders, building strong relationships and serving as a reliable, approachable resource.

Employee Support & Advocacy:
Act as a primary point of contact for employees, providing guidance on HR policies, benefits, and workplace concerns. Build trust, ensure employees feel heard, and help resolve issues in a fair and consistent manner.

People Leader Coaching:
Coach people leaders on day-to-day leadership challenges, including performance management, employee concerns, attendance issues, and team dynamics. Help leaders build confidence and consistency in how they manage their teams.

Autonomous Execution:
Own and manage HR matters from start to finish, including employee relations, performance issues, and day-to-day support. Exercise strong judgment in decision-making and know when to escalate.

Performance Management:
Support and reinforce performance expectations by guiding people leaders through goal setting, feedback, and accountability, while also supporting employees in understanding expectations and development opportunities.

Employee Relations:
Handle employee relations matters including investigations, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans. Balance employee advocacy with business needs and partner with the HR Business Leader on more complex or sensitive issues.

Engagement & Retention:
Support engagement initiatives and help translate employee feedback into actionable improvements. Conduct stay interviews and share insights to help improve retention.

Talent Acquisition Support:
Participate in interviews and support hiring managers to ensure strong hiring decisions aligned with company values.

Onboarding & Employee Experience:
Help deliver a smooth onboarding experience and support employees throughout their lifecycle, including leaves of absence and benefits-related questions.

Offboarding & Exit Insights:
Manage terminations and exit interviews, identifying trends and sharing feedback with HR leadership.

HR Operations & Projects:
Support HR processes and contribute to projects that improve efficiency, consistency, and the overall employee experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with strong employee relations experience

  • Demonstrated ability to support both employees and coach people leaders effectively

  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities with minimal direction

  • Experience in a fast-paced or manufacturing environment (aerospace/electronics a plus)

  • Strong judgment and ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion

  • Practical, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to balance employee and business needs

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
