Job Description




As a Security Officer Medical Patrol in Towson, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor movement, assist with directions and de-escalation when needed, and support a professional environment for patients, staff, and guests.
  • Assist with emergency notifications, follow post orders for medical and non-medical incidents, and communicate clearly with staff, first responders, and/or Allied Universal personnel during security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
