Job Description:

* Analyzes direct material supplier spend data within the category to identify opportunities for optimization, best suited for long term TCO development.

* Works directly with key stakeholders to benchmark suppliers within the category by creating and managing RFQ's.

* Identifies, researches, evaluates, and selects suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, lead time, and reliability of supply.

* Meets the save targets for category in region Americas and Global

* Supports Strategic Operations' future and Global Sourcing team's strategies within the organization.

* Leads negotiations and executes contract terms and conditions to secure best quality, lead time and price.

* Identifies long-term supplier strategy, including risk mitigation strategies for critical suppliers and/or components.

* Leads and manages other additional new projects that arise out of business needs/requirements.

* Maintains sourcing contract databases and communicates with the team on supplier strategies.

Responsibilities:

* Experience in Category Management is required, however no particular commodity, but experience with compressors, pumps, coils, fans and heat exchangers is a plus.

* Experience in understanding global economic market trends, and how they relate to specific categories.

* Recognizes and evaluates economies of scale and/or risk mitigation opportunities to secure competitive prices.

* Assesses supplier's products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization's quality standards. Ability to meet with suppliers and support the supplier relationship management.

* Analyzes and evaluates supplier bids, proposals, or quotations; negotiates prices and delivery conditions; with terms that are in the organization's best interest.

* Needs to be able to learn and adapt to several different software systems and programs to identify current costs, pull reports on historical spend, screen suppliers, store and update supplier information, and review team files

Requirements:

* Experience in building category strategies and ability to think strategically.

* Needs to have specific experience in Category Management in a manufacturing environment.

* Needs to understand commodity/market trends to be able to properly negotiate.

* Needs to be a self-starter that works well with others, identify problems and come up with solutions.

* Be able to manage several different projects that could be for several different Munters production sites and products, while meeting deadlines and staying organized

* Needs to be able to read and understand an engineering drawing, such as a CAD drawing.

Key Competencies:

* MS Excel is highly experienced,including Pivot Tables.

* MS PowerPoint efficient

* Adobe Acrobat experience preferred.

* High Communication skills

* Self-Starter

Academic Background:

Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Business Management, Supply Chain or similar)

Number of years of Professional Experience required:

5-10 years in Sourcing/Category Management
