*Job Title: QA/QC Supervisor - Structured Cabling & Low Voltage*
*Job Description* The QA/QC Supervisor - Structured Cabling & Low Voltage serves as the quality authority for structured cabling and lowvoltage projects across data center, commercial, and AV environments. This role focuses on auditing and compliance rather than installation, acting as the primary escalation point for quality issues from technicians, supervisors, and project teams. The QA/QC Supervisor plans and executes formal audits, enforces company and industry standards, and drives corrective and preventive actions to ensure consistently highquality installations and documentation across multiple projects and sites. *Responsibilities* * Serve as the primary quality authority for structured cabling and lowvoltage projects across data center, commercial, and AV environments. * Act as the main escalation point for QA/QC issues raised by technicians, supervisors, and project teams. * Plan, schedule, and perform formal QA/QC audits on active and completed projects. * Audit completed work against company standards, industry standards, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes. * Inspect telecom and lowvoltage installations for proper installation, labeling, testing, and documentation. * Identify, document, and categorize nonconformities, risks, and areas for improvement during audits and inspections. * Prepare and distribute clear, detailed audit reports that include findings, corrective actions, and recommendations. * Partner with field leadership to develop, implement, and track corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans. * Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions through followup audits and ongoing monitoring. * Identify repeat issues and quality trends across projects and recommend process and standards improvements. * Support the development, refinement, and expansion of QA/QC processes, checklists, and standards. * Stay current on industry changes, manufacturer updates, and code revisions, and communicate their impact to project teams and leadership. * Participate in onboarding activities and joint site walkthroughs to reinforce quality expectations and standards. * Maintain a visible presence in the field to support teams, reinforce best practices, and address quality concerns in real time. * Provide technical support related to structured cabling, fiber optics, lowvoltage systems, and ISP/OSP practices as they relate to quality. * Manage multiple audits and quality initiatives across different projects and sites simultaneously. * Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels to enforce standards and drive alignment without confrontation. * Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by sharing insights, lessons learned, and recommendations for training or process updates. *Essential Skills* * Minimum of 4+ years of QA/QC experience in structured cabling and lowvoltage systems. * Proven experience auditing completed installations rather than performing installations. * Experience supporting data center environments, with additional exposure to commercial and AV projects considered a plus. * Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cable. * Strong knowledge of lowvoltage telecom infrastructure and related installation practices. * Familiarity with industry and manufacturer installation standards for structured cabling and lowvoltage systems. * Knowledge of ISP (inside plant) and OSP (outside plant) installation practices. * Demonstrated ability to objectively evaluate completed work for quality and compliance. * Strong QA/QC auditing and inspection skills, including preparation of inspection and audit reports. * Experience with corrective and preventive action (CAPA) management and continuous improvement execution. * Strong analytical thinking and problemsolving abilities, including issue pattern recognition and trend analysis. * Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills suitable for reports and stakeholder interactions. * Strong documentation and reporting skills, including the ability to create clear, concise, and actionable findings. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. * Ability to manage multiple audits, priorities, and stakeholders concurrently in a fastpaced environment. * Ability to lead and influence others without direct authority while enforcing standards constructively. * High attention to detail, consistency, and strong organizational skills. * Independent, selfdirected work style with adaptability across different project types and environments. * Sound judgment, strong decisionmaking skills, and a collaborative mindset. * Demonstrated leadership communication skills with the ability to enforce standards without confrontation. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Experience in quality assurance within structured cabling, lowvoltage, and telecom environments, including data centers. * Backgrnd in manufacturing quality, technical support, or related quality disciplines. * Familiarity with developing, managing, and tracking corrective action plans and preventive action plans. * Experience with LMS (Learning Management System) platforms is preferred. * Exposure to QA/QC training or content development and an understanding of adult learning concepts is preferred. * Ability to support quality efforts across both ISP and OSP environments. * Strong capability to recognize issue patterns and recommend process improvements. * Comfort working across Typical work hours follow a Monday through Friday schedule with 5-8 hour shifts, commonly from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position requires regular presence on active job sites to conduct audits, inspections, and joint walkthroughs, as well as travel between project locations as needed. The work involves close interaction with field leadership, technicians, and project teams in technical, infrastructurefocused settings where structured cabling, lowvoltage systems, fiber optics, and ISP/OSP installations are in place.
