The Procurement Category Manager, Professional Services is responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies for assigned professional services categories. This position will specifically manage procurement activities related to Professional Services suppliers, including Translation Services, Document & Data Retention Services, HR Services, Finance Services, and Legal Services. By optimizing supplier partnerships and driving sourcing initiatives, you will help ensure operational efficiency and support Clario's mission to transform lives by unlocking better evidence for patients and customers around the world.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and implement category strategies for assigned professional services categories to drive cost savings and improve supplier performance.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, risks, and sourcing opportunities.
  • Manage procurement activities related to Professional Services suppliers, including Translation Services, Document & Data Retention Services, HR Services, Finance Services, and Legal Services.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including the development of RFPs and RFQs, bid evaluations, and supplier selection processes.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and service agreements to ensure favorable commercial outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address service, cost, or delivery issues when they arise.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and track savings generated through procurement activities.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and provide procurement guidance and support.
  • Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
  • Assess supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual standards, and regulatory requirements.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications such as CPSM or CIPS preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Proven experience developing and executing category strategies and managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to analyze cost structures and procurement data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and stakeholder groups.
  • Experience using procurement systems or sourcing tools such as SAP, Ariba, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work remotely from the United States and authorized to work in the U.S.
