Classification: Non-Exempt Salary Range: $22.50/hr - $23.60/hr Date: April 2026 The Buyer Assistant is responsible for assisting in the purchasing process, tracking deliveries, and coordinating between the vendors and the store team. Essential Functions Maintain data entry of merchandise arrivals on daily basis. Maintain data entry of physical inventories on a bi-weekly basis. Manage the daily purchasing inventories, prepare purchase orders, communicate with vendors, and reconcile product delivery issues. Facilitate the reconciliation of AP and pricing issues. Coordinate with storeroom personnel regarding proper product storage, dating and rotation. Assist with copying, faxing, and other clerical duties as assigned by manager. Skills and Qualifications Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient computer skills. Basic math skills. Ability to read and comprehend recipes, menu breakdowns and diagrams. Ability to think critically and solve problems. Knowledge of food quality and safety standards. Must be able to function in a team environment. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of experience in food industry Airline industry experience preferred Supervisory Responsibility This position has supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to sit for long periods of time and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted and work in temperature extremes ranging from 10-80 degrees Fahrenheit (Proper thermal protection to be provided). Able to distinguish colors and inspect products. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time exempt position in a 24/7/365 work environment. Days and hours of work vary based on operational needs and support.
