Genesis10 is seeking a Project Manager for a hybrid contract opportunity with a renowned healthcare organization located in Rochester, MN. This is a 12+ month contract role. Compensation: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour (W2), depending on experience and qualifications
Position Summary
The Project Manager will lead the day-to-day execution of a Client & Telecom Device Segmentation Project, overseeing scope, schedule, dependencies, and delivery across multiple technical and operational teams. This role is responsible for driving the project through defined segmentation phases and ensuring outcomes align with approved charters, governance standards, and operational transition requirements. The position supports medium- to high-complexity initiatives within a larger program and ensures delivery in accordance with established IT methodologies, timelines, and budget expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the integrated project plan across all segmentation phases, including pre-enforcement, enforcement, validation, re-enforcement, and operational transition
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Information Security, Network Engineering, Client, Telecom, HTM, and external vendors
- Lead project intake, kickoff meetings, working sessions, and ongoing status updates for stakeholders and leadership
- Identify, track, and mitigate risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (e.g., vendor limitations, hardware constraints, device readiness)
- Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, approved project charters, and governance frameworks (e.g., segmentation and SGT governance)
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including milestones, decision logs, enforcement metrics, and completion criteria
- Support transition to steady-state operations, including ownership alignment, change management, and ongoing enforcement processes
- Manage project budgets (up to $1M), timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes
- Provide matrix leadership across internal teams and external vendor resources
- Present project updates and requests to governance committees and oversight bodies
- Support senior program managers in strategic planning initiatives
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to budget controls, project governance, and organizational standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional IT infrastructure or cybersecurity projects
- Working knowledge of network segmentation and enterprise networking concepts (hands-on configuration not required)
- Strong stakeholder management experience within a regulated enterprise environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop executive-level reporting, dashboards, and status communications
- Experience translating technical execution into clear, actionable insights for leadership
- PMP certification or equivalent project management experience strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and operational teams to validate real-world constraints
- Highly detail-oriented with strong process discipline and documentation skills
- Experience supporting multiple device types or technology domains
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant project management experience
OR - Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web-based tools

- Hands-on, execution-focused role supporting an active, in-flight segmentation program
- High level of collaboration across security, network, and operational teams
- Strong emphasis on documentation, traceability, and repeatable processes
- Alignment with enterprise Zero Trust and least privilege security principles
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position, with an expected onsite presence of approximately 50%. The schedule may vary based on project needs, requiring flexibility to be onsite as necessary.
