Job Description:

Job Summary:
In the frame of STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) solutions Cabin upgrades projects under JAR25/CS25/FAR25 requirements, the job holder is responsible for all electrical systems Tasks / Activities, and
for the on-quality / on-time completion of associated deliverables. These tasks cover end to end activities from the customer requirements to the working party.
Primary Responsibilities:

Cabin Systems deliverables and support: (40%)
Representing the electrical systems team, reporting to the Project Manager / Multi-functional team,
Creating the list of electrical deliverables (specifications, design, substantiation...),
Writing equipment specification if needed,
Ensuring correct electrical system architecture (block diagrams),
Validating Wiring Diagrams,
Writing and/or approving the relevant technical/substantiation notes,
Writing Installation Instructions and Service Bulletins,
Ensuring technical assistance during working party,

Compliance: (30%)
o Ensure cabin electrical systems technical content complies with all applicable requirements.
o Ensure all technical activities are performed in compliance with the approved company processes, procedures and tools
and with ethics & compliance requirements.
o Ensure all cabin systems technical / engineering activities are performed within the agreed budget & schedule.

Continuous improvement: (25%)
o Identify opportunities to improve and/or simplify processes, procedures and/or tools.
o Challenge, accept and promote the necessary changes to implement lean ways of working.
o Brings feedback and lessons learnt on project performance.

Additional Responsibilities: (5%)
o Support quotation related to Cabin Systems activities during the offer phase.
o If needed the job holder will also extend his skills to:
* Cabin Design / Mechanical Design on simple design,
* Configuration management,
* Technical publications activities.

Qualified Experience and Training:
Education: (Required) Bachelor's Degree-Engineering: (Electrical / Aeronautic / Civil Engineering)

Experience: (Required) Minimum 6 years' experience within the aviation industry, specifically in aircraft cabin electrical systems engineering and development process, and knowledge of
associated design, certification and qualification requirements.

Licensure/Certifications: None required

Travel Required: 10% Domestic and International

Citizenship: Authorized to work in the US.

Qualified Skills:

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
(Required)
* Experience in embedded electrical systems Engineering (ATA 23-24-25-26-33-44),
* Experience in cabin electrical systems architecture,

* Experience in cabin electrical systems substantiation (Safety Analysis / Electrical Load Analysis / EMI / Ground Test Instruction ...),
* Knowledge in equipment qualification DO160 and DO178,
* Knowledge in Aircraft Publications (AMM, AWM, IPC...),
* Proven high motivation and flexibility to work in a highly demanding environment,
* Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative team environment with a diverse international workforce,
* Ability to build and maintain an internal network with colleagues globally.

(Preferred)
* Airbus aircraft general knowledge,
* Knowledge of EASA Part 21 (DOA / POA) and Part 145,
* Experience in technical project management,
* Experience in configuration management.

Communication Skills: (Required):
* Good communication, team work, synthetic mindset and assertiveness,
* Good coordination and relationship skills to work with team members, customers, partners, and other Airbus departments,
* Good presentation and communication skills, as well as being able to do so effectively to the management team.

Technical Systems Proficiency:
* See Experience / Skills.

Complexity of the Role:
* In depth understanding of the cabin / cabin systems retrofit process.
* Supports the projects from technical proposal to after return into service.

Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Daily

Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Daily

Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily

Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily

Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Daily

Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. Daily

Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Daily

Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor. Daily

Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Rarely

Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Daily
