The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) manages the efficient flow of electricity on more than 11,000 circuit-miles of high-voltage transmission lines, dispatching power from hundreds of generating units across the state. The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) applies cutting-edge technology to operating a reliable electricity system, managing competitive markets for wholesale electricity, and planning for the Empire State's energy future. The NYISO's Human Resources team invites applications for a full-time Recruiting Specialist. The Recruiting Specialist provides critical support for and management of NYISO's recruiting and hiring processes. This will include working with the HR recruiting leader to develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive and cost effective recruiting strategy, partnering with hiring managers in a decentralized hiring environment to provide guidance on best practices, and acting as an expert advisor on developing a search plan which will result in a qualified and comprehensive pool of candidates for all positions across the organization.
Willingness and ability to travel during peak college recruiting seasons (primarily Spring and Fall) is required, including overnight and outofstate travel, to represent NYISO at oncampus recruiting events, job fairs, and national conferences. QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Contact with staff and public will occur. Travel may be required to attend and/or conduct meetings, conferences and training. This position may require work on nights, weekends or holidays.
