Patient Services Advocate (Dental Services) OnSite \| St. Louis, MO Monday-Friday \| 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM $21.50/hour 6month contract with strong potential to convert to permanent About the Role We are seeking a Patient Services Advocate to support a busy onsite dental college clinic. This role focuses on delivering excellent patient service while supporting dental students and clinical operations. The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare scheduling, insurance verification, and patient registration, with dental experience strongly preferred. This is a fulltime, onsite opportunity with a consistent weekday schedule and the possibility of conversion to a permanent role. Key Responsibilities * Complete patient registration by collecting and entering accurate demographic and financial information * Accept referrals, schedule appointments, and confirm upcoming visits * Verify dental procedure codes and coordinate insurance verification and prior authorizations * Determine appropriate fees and collect patient payments using credit card systems * Prepare and balance daily deposits * Serve as a liaison between patients and dental students to ensure smooth clinic operations * Maintain compliance with thirdparty reimbursement guidelines * Provide professional, courteous customer service in a clinical environment Required Qualifications * 2+ years of experience in medical scheduling or a healthcare setting * Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations * 2+ years of customer service experience * Strong computer skills, including word processing and email * Ability to accurately register and interview patients Strongly Preferred * Dental clinic or dental office experience * Knowledge of dental codes and thirdparty reimbursement Skills & Abilities * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Solid customer service and mathematical abilities * Comfortable using a 10key calculator and credit card machines * Ability to read, interpret, and apply processes and policies * Selfmotivated, flexible, and able to work independently Why This Opportunity? * Consistent weekday schedule with no nights or weekends * Work in a missiondriven healthcare education environment * Gain experience supporting future dental professionals * Potential for permanent conversion as the function transitions in-house Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.
