Description

The Line Technician Supervisor (LTS) is responsible for overseeing all ground service activities related to transient and based aircraft, ensuring safe, efficient, and highquality service for aircraft owners, guests, and flight crews. While the role is strongly focused on technical aircraft services-such as fueling, towing, parking, deicing, and basic cleaning-exceptional customer service is essential. The LTS ensures that every arriving and departing aircraft receives timely, professional ground support, delivered with energy, attention to detail, and a commitment to Modern Aviation's exceptional service standards.


Customer Service & Brand Representation

  • Exemplifies what it means to be a partner at Modern Aviation.
  • Promotes and consistently maintains a positive image of Modern Aviation with customers, crew members, vendors, and the surrounding community.
  • Assists passengers and flight crews by delivering exceptional service, proactively offering services and exceeding customer expectations.


Aircraft Handling & Ramp Operations

  • Responsible for the safe movement, placement, storage, deicing, and fueling of aircraft.
  • Operates a wide variety of aircraft ground support equipment.
  • Maintains strong ramp awareness, including monitoring aircraft positioning, foreign object debris (FOD), and adverse or impending weather conditions.
  • Ensures all aircraft and ramp activities are properly coordinated during assigned shifts.


Safety & Compliance

  • Actively participates in the ISBAH safety program by identifying and mitigating hazards to protect customers, personnel, equipment, and aircraft.
  • Adheres to all safety policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
  • Exercises sound judgment when making decisions, consistent with company policies, safety regulations, and operating procedures.
  • Understands and accepts exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, machinery, and inclement weather.


Leadership & Shift Oversight

  • Delegates and assigns duties to qualified personnel during assigned shifts.
  • Monitors work performance of Line Service Technicians (LSTs) and assesses results.
  • Assists the Line Manager with training and mentoring new employees.
  • Enforces safety and operational policies in the Line Manager's absence.
  • Fills in for the Line Manager when he or she is not on duty.
  • Maintains shift reports and related documentation.
  • Performs duties with minimal supervision and directs shift-level activities as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Shift Lead, Shift Supervisor, or Line Manager.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and varying shifts as required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Exceptional mathematical skills.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of various aircraft types and aircraft servicing preferred.



Working conditions and physical demands for this role -

While performing the duties of this job, the partner is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; wet and/or humid conditions; extreme heat and cold; high or precarious places; outdoor weather conditions; vibration; and chemicals including aviation fuel, oils, and lavatory fluids. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The role also requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, stooping, stretching, bending, reaching, and grasping and the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Modern Aviation's Pay Range -

$25- $27/hr. + benefits.

The Modern Aviation pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, or other laws.
