Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Finance Director, this position assists the Office of Budget and Finance with the development, implementation and operation of financial compliance programs. Provides day-to-day oversight of the compliance programs, including facilitation of risk assessments, management of specialized compliance training, monitoring, increasing compliance awareness, completion of required reporting, and supervision of Financial Compliance staff.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, Public Administration or related field. Four years progressively responsible experience in a public university compliance, finance, audit or closely related role. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, standard office equipment and personal computer. Satisfactory evidence of excellent verbal and written communication skills; project planning and management skills; demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 3 years of experience in Financial Audit or Financial Compliance
  • 1 year of supervisory experience

Other Qualifications
To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development, oversight, and monitoring of Divisional Compliance
  • Assist with the implementation of enhancements to ERP functionality related to financial compliance
  • Conduct and supervise compliance monitoring in financial high-risk areas
  • Manage, develop, and conduct financial compliance training programs
  • Develop an awareness of OBF compliance initiatives and communicate these initiatives to the campuscommunity
  • Develop and maintain institutional policies and departmental procedures related to financial compliance
