Job Summary
The Senior Specialist - Conflict Management serves as a key resource for workplace conflict resolution, providing mediation, coaching, and training across a large and diverse employee population. This role acts as a neutral party to support employee relations, facilitate conflict resolution, and promote proactive strategies to prevent workplace issues. The position requires strong emotional intelligence, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive situations while collaborating with cross-functional teams and leadership. Job Responsibilities
- Conduct conflict coaching sessions and facilitate mediation between employees and teams
- Manage intake, tracking, follow-up, and reporting for conflict-related cases and requests
- Facilitate both simple and complex mediation sessions, including preparation and post-session follow-ups
- Provide guidance to leaders to address conflicts early and minimize escalation and business impact
- Design, develop, and deliver conflict management training programs, workshops, and presentations
- Oversee training curriculum and ensure content remains relevant and engaging
- Facilitate team interventions and group discussions to resolve workplace issues
- Coordinate post-mediation check-ins and recommend actions to improve collaboration and relationships
- Partner with internal groups to align on employee relations matters and conflict resolution strategies
- Maintain and promote conflict management resources and tools through internal communication channels
- Support organizational development initiatives, including assessing needs and implementing training solutions
- Track trends and key performance indicators using internal systems while maintaining confidentiality
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Mediation certification required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in conflict resolution, mediation, or employee relations
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, conflict management, and workplace investigations
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Experience designing and delivering training programs for diverse audiences
- Strong facilitation skills for both small and large groups, in-person and virtual settings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organization
- High emotional intelligence and active listening skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Work Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in conflict resolution, mediation, or employee relations required
- Experience in training and development, organizational development, or EEO-related work preferred
