What to Expect
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to support our development teams and contract manufacturing partners in the direct sourcing of Solar products. The Supply Chain Manager builds and leverages strong working relationships with our engineering teams and key suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. They work toward good supplier relationships and total costs of ownership to achieve maximum advantage for Tesla and our customers.
What You'll Do
- Planning & Forecasting: Develop and execute supply strategies for raw material suppliers with a proactive mindset, mitigating risks and ensuring seamless scalability to support Tesla's rapid growth and high-volume procurement needs
- Cost Analysis: Conduct in-depth cost modeling and optimization on large-scale supplier engagements to identify efficiencies, reduce expenses, and drive value without sacrificing quality or innovation
- Negotiation: Lead high-value supplier negotiations with precision and foresight, securing advantageous terms on multi-million dollar contracts that align with Tesla's high standards and long-term vision
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage complex, high-spend supplier contracts to safeguard company interests, ensure compliance, and enable agile responses to market shifts
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, and Leadership teams to foster alignment, share insights, and remove barriers to accelerate progress on strategic supplier initiatives
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of professional experience in supply chain management, with demonstrated ownership of high-spend supplier relationships and large-scale contracts
- Knowledge of renewable energy, solar or refinery industries
- Experience working with raw material suppliers (quartz, metallurgical-silicon, polysilicon, silver and copper) preferred
- Proven track record in negotiating and executing large agreements with international suppliers
- Demonstrated expertise in planning, cost analysis, negotiation, and contract management
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment

Expected Compensation
$104,000 - $192,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
