Job Description
- The Client Fintech team within Client builds payment infrastructure that enables people to send money to each other and pay merchants directly within messaging conversations.
- These flows span the full consumer lifecycle: onboarding, identity verification, payment initiation, confirmation, error recovery, and post-transaction communication.
- 10+ years of content design / UX writing experience Experience in fintech, finance, or payments, with understanding of money movement, transaction flows, and the regulatory/compliance considerations that come with them.
- Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools in a design workflow: prompt engineering, AI-assisted content generation, vibe coding, rapid prototyping.
About the Team:
- The Client Fintech team is responsible for developing the payment infrastructure that allows users to send money to each other (P2P) and pay merchants (P2M) directly within messaging platforms.
- This involves designing user experiences for the complete transaction lifecycle, including onboarding, identity verification, payment initiation, confirmation, error recovery, and post-transaction communication.
- This team is responsible for the design of all payment methods, underlying platforms, and financial services experiences across clients.
- This includes key areas such as creator payouts, client checkout experiences, Ads buying and billing, and peer-to-peer (P2P) and messaging payments.
Operating Model:
- This team operates with an AI-native structure.
- Content Design functions as shared specialists across various engineering pods, providing high-level directional guidance and quality assurance.
- Day-to-day content iteration is handled within the pods using AI-assisted tooling.
- This structure requires a Content Designer who can lead content strategy for complex new experiences, set high standards, and manage reviews at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Strategy & Execution: Own the complete content strategy and UX writing for P2P and P2M payment flows across iOS and Android, covering the full lifecycle from user onboarding through post-payment.
- Specialized Financial Writing: Develop content for sensitive financial contexts, including fee transparency, tax disclosures, legal/compliance language, and localized payment terminology.
- Process Management: Navigate the rigorous platform design review process, which involves preparing submissions, responding to follow-ups, and tracking approvals.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Collaborate with Product Design, Engineering, Research, and Product Management to shape the overall product direction.
- Clarity & Usability: Identify and scope content-led opportunities specifically aimed at boosting user trust, clarity, and overall usability.
- Documentation & Standards: Create content specifications, localization guidelines, and accessibility documentation.
- System Contribution: Contribute to the development of content systems, patterns, and standards for scalable product application.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 10 + years of experience in Content Design or UX writing.
- Industry Expertise: Proven experience in fintech, finance, or payments, including a strong grasp of money movement, transaction flows, and associated regulatory/compliance considerations.
- AI Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to use AI tools within a design workflow, including prompt engineering, AI-assisted content generation, vibe coding, and rapid prototyping.
- Tools: Proficiency with Figma.
- Writing Skills: Exceptional ability to write clear, concise content for complex financial concepts, catering to diverse literacy levels and global markets.
- UX Knowledge: Deep understanding of UX patterns for transactional flows (onboarding, verification, payment, error recovery).
- Strategic Thinking: Strong fluency in product content strategy, with the ability to link content decisions directly to business and user outcomes.
- Collaboration: Experience working effectively within ambiguous environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Systems Thinking: Strong systematic approach with experience in utilizing design systems and component libraries.

- Portuguese language proficiency.

Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Own UX writing for P2P/P2M payment flows on iOS/Android (onboarding post-payment).
- Write sensitive financial/compliance content (fees, taxes, legal, localization).
- Manage design review submissions and approvals.
- Partner with Design/Eng/Research/PM to shape direction and improve clarity, trust, and usability.
- Produce content specs, localization/accessibility guidelines, and help build scalable content patterns/standards
Purpose/Size of this team & where does this position fit within the team?
- The team's focus is on advertiser billing, specifically targeting the consumer experience. The work involves understanding the peer-to-peer merchant process. Experience in retail banking or similar fields, particularly familiarity with customer interactions and process flows, is relevant to this role.
- The majority of the team members are based in MPK (Menlo Park) and New York (NY).
