This pivotal role offers you the chance to significantly impact the strategic direction and daily operations of a dynamic human resources department. You will be instrumental in safeguarding the organization's integrity, shaping its policies, and fostering a culture of adherence to the highest standards. What You Will Do:



  • Oversee the identification, development, progress tracking, and outcome reporting of compliance programs within the business unit.
  • Ensure that human resources policies and practices align with municipal, county, state, and federal laws.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of human resources policies to meet the needs of the human resources department and client departments.
  • Offer leadership, consultation, and education on integrating compliance with regulatory standards across human resources programs and operations.
  • Recommend continuous quality improvement initiatives to maintain continuous accreditation and certification from relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Direct activities related to assessing compliance with accreditation standards for hospital and laboratory programs, including related accreditation process requirements and survey activities.
  • Lead quality and compliance programs to ensure safe, best-in-class care for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Develop strategic plans and lead improvements to mitigate potential human resources-related risks affecting the organization's reputation, security, safety, and sustainability of patient care.
  • Deliver and support human resources compliance and policy standards to leaders; collaborate with human resources leaders to develop effective compliance and policy training programs as needed.
  • Create, maintain, and oversee the document flow of the human resources policy approval process.
  • Serve as the accreditation lead with surveyors during audits and investigations of employee human resources records, providing timely submission of proof on elements of compliance.
  • Manage and train staff on human resources compliance components for hospital survey and audit readiness.
  • Lead recruiting and onboarding efforts to ensure adequate staffing levels support daily operations.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
  • Fifteen (15) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience, including seven (7) years of management responsibility.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Strong hospital management experience, with progressive and in-depth expertise in regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated understanding of applicable regulations and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and problem solve, with the ability to identify system vulnerabilities and develop and apply innovative solutions.
  • Ability to direct and manage the development and implementation of projects and processes for high-impact programs and communications.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus.
  • Ability to identify, design, and administer plans that support strategic goals and attract, reward, and retain talent.
  • Ability to mediate and resolve complex problems and issues.
  • Ability to provide leadership and influence others.
  • Knowledge of human resources functional operations, business systems, and processes.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility and human resources.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, administration, fiscal, and personnel management.


The target hiring compensation range for this role is $103.45 to $111.75 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
