**What You'll Do:**

* Lead technical teams in the delivery of highly scalable and reliable applications, ensuring alignment with strategic technology vision, business budgets, and timelines.

* Develop and implement best-in-class authentication solutions for high-volume transaction systems, designed to handle peak loads during critical market periods.

* Collaborate closely with Solution Architects and Platform Architects to ensure all implementations meet established architectural and design standards.

* Champion and augment platform principles, guidelines, and standards across development efforts.

* Advocate for and implement high software agility and quality standards, fostering a culture of engineering excellence.

* Promote agile practices to enhance delivery agility and team responsiveness.

* Mentor and support creative, passionate teammates across various development teams.

* Establish, maintain, and ensure adherence to development, coding, testing, and automation standards.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.

* Proven software design experience for building applications capable of handling thousands of transactions per second, achieving 99.999% availability, and integrating with multiple internal and external applications.

* Demonstrated experience in resolving problems in high-stress and time-critical situations, such as production issues.

* Strong curiosity and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.

* Expertise in Java development.

* Proficiency in JavaScript and related frameworks, particularly for Web Applications.

* Experience with Spring Cloud or similar Gateway technologies.

* Strong command of REST APIs.

* Familiarity with testing automation frameworks such as JUnit, Karma, Ruby, Cucumber, and Java BDD, including Accessibility Testing.

* Experience with MongoDB.

* Proficiency in logging technologies, log analysis, and reporting.

* Hands-on experience with CI/CD technologies.

* Experience with containerized deployment.

* Understanding of authentication protocols like OAuth and SAML.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* Experience with Angular framework.

* Background in Consumer Facing Web Applications.

* Proficiency with PostgreSQL.

* Experience with Splunk, BigQuery, or Grafana for logging and analysis.

* Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Sonar, Blackduck, or Veracode for CI/CD.

* Experience in deploying to cloud platforms like GCP or AWS.

* Experience with Performance Testing and Engineering.

* Developed Identity and Authentication solutions for use by other applications.

* Understanding of NIST Identity Standards.
