Regional Sales Manager - Unistrut Construction - Northeast Region

Who we are looking for:

Unistrut Construction, a division of Atkore, is a specialty subcontractor providing structural solutions for the Healthcare, Data Center, and Commercial Construction markets. We are looking to add a Regional Sales Manager - Northeast to our team. This Commercial role will build relationships with general contractors and subcontractors in the Northeast Region to help grow our business.

Working with our pre-construction estimating and design team, the successful candidate will identify new opportunities and present solutions utilizing Unistrut Construction's design, engineering, fabrication, and installation services. This role requires achieving sales targets, negotiating deals, and collaborating with the team to provide exceptional customer service and value.

Own all areas of the sales cycle including:



  • Establish relationships with regional General Contractors
  • Communicate our value proposition and generate project opportunities.
  • Identify scope via detailed blueprint review and customer discussions and RFIs.
  • Hand off qualified opportunities to estimating with clear scope definition.
  • Deliver proposals, gather feedback, and negotiate and close contracts.
  • Partner with OEM and Data Center sales teams to win targeted projects.
  • Conduct site walks as needed to confirm scope, logistics, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all activity in CRM.


What you'll bring:

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of healthcare or data center construction experience in either sales, project management, or estimating roles, ideally in the region and with established customer relationships. Additionally;



  • Enough technical aptitude to read blueprints and specifications.
  • Experience supporting large-scale, technically complex commercial construction projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability and willingness to build out estimates and quotes.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the general construction engineer bid tender process.
  • Ability to travel 25-50% of time and critical to the position.


    Within 3 months, you'll:



    • Complete your Atkore immersion program.
    • Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategy.
    • Reach out to GCs in the region and introduce yourself and solicit opportunities.
    • Use Salesforce to record opportunities and handoff to estimating


    Within 6 months, you'll:



    • Read blueprints to find our scope effectively
    • Find new projects and call customers to get invitations to bid
    • Negotiate and win projects
    • Build and grow relationships with customers and influencers


    Within 12 months, you'll:



    • Understand the unique dimensions of your territory and know how to apply our value proposition to move out of "bid" lists and into partnerships
    • Grow the region in both book-and-turn business and major projects
    • Know where to bid on work that is a good fit and distinguish
    • Know how increase profitability of the region by knowing where we can increase price

    As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $94,640 - $130,130. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
