Description

The Senior Employee & Community Engagement Specialist supports the execution of philanthropic, community, and employee engagement programs that strengthen our impact and connect employees to meaningful opportunities. This person coordinates key initiatives and ensures programs are delivered effectively and in alignment with company values and Foundation guidelines.

Salary Range
$80,000 ~ $95,000
The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Hybrid Work Location



  • This position will be hybrid, having the regional availability to come into our Office 2 days a week. Our office location: WPS Corporate Center Building - 1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI, 53713.

  • Enjoy serving as program administrator and primary coordinator for the WPS Charitable Foundation, including programming (including the Ray Koenig Memorial Scholarship Program and Foundation Community Giving), compliance, fundraising appeals and reporting in alignment with Board and leadership direction
  • Would like to lead the planning and execution of the annual United Way giving campaign and Days of Caring volunteer event
  • Would enjoy providing leadership and oversight to WPS Interest Networks (WINs)- {WPS's version of an employee group} including facilitating Executive Sponsor and Co-Lead check-ins, participating in bi-weekly WIN meetings, coaching and succession planning for WIN leadership roles, and budget oversight.
  • Partner with leadership to define and build the WPS employer brand
  • Like to Identify and share local volunteer opportunities to increase employee participation
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local universities to promote WPS employer brand
  • Develop and execute communications related to the Foundation, giving and fundraising campaigns, employee engagement and community involvement


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 or more years in employee engagement, community engagement, communications or related field.
  • Strong understanding of corporate social responsibility and philanthropic best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis using Excel.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience working with cross-function teams including senior executives, HRBP's and community partners.
  • Ability to drive measurable impact on employee engagement.
  • Experience working with a charitable foundation.
