Role Summary

Support the end-to-end commercial lending process by ensuring all due diligence requirements are completed accurately and efficiently before loan documentation. Act as a subject matter expert on complex transactions while providing guidance to team members and business partners. This role offers strong exposure to commercial credit operations and opportunities for growth in lending and risk management. Key Accountabilities
  • Manage due diligence workflows to ensure all approval conditions are satisfied prior to loan documentation.
  • Review and analyze vendor reports (appraisals, title, environmental, UCC, etc.) to confirm accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with relationship managers, underwriters, and internal teams to resolve loan application issues and move deals forward.
  • Evaluate borrower and entity information to ensure legal structure, authority, and documentation accuracy.
  • Oversee collateral valuation processes, including LTV calculations, lien positions, and insurance verification.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including flood and appraisal notification standards.
  • Mentor and support team members by serving as a resource for complex loan transactions and inquiries.
  • Drive timely processing by meeting service level agreements and minimizing turnaround time between approval and documentation.
Education & Experience

Required:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years of experience in a financial environment, including commercial loan origination, document preparation, file audit, or collateral review

Preferred:

  • Experience handling complex commercial lending transactions (e.g., CRE, multi-entity, multi-product deals)
  • Familiarity with SBA or government-guaranteed lending processes
