Job Description

S&A is seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to support Department of Defense (DoD) infrastructure and modernization programs. This role is integral to the planning, execution, and delivery of complex construction and industrial projects that directly impact fleet readiness and mission capability.

The selected candidate will bring advanced expertise in Primavera P6, a strong command of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, and the ability to influence decision-making across technical teams, senior leadership, and government stakeholders. This position operates in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment and requires ownership of schedule performance, proactive risk identification, and the development of actionable solutions.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develop, maintain, and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and baseline schedules using Primavera P6
  • Translate project scope into detailed, logic-driven schedules with clearly defined activities, durations, dependencies, and milestones
  • Integrate subcontractor, vendor, and cross-functional inputs into a unified program schedule
  • Perform resource loading, manpower forecasting, and resource leveling across multiple projects
  • Conduct Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis to identify key drivers, constraints, and schedule risks
  • Perform "what-if" scenario modeling and schedule risk assessments to support informed decision-making
  • Lead schedule reviews and working sessions with project teams, leadership, and government stakeholders
  • Prepare and present executive-level reports, dashboards, and schedule performance metrics
  • Develop short-term and look-ahead schedules to support field execution and construction sequencing
  • Monitor schedule health, variances, and performance trends; recommend and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure alignment between project scope, schedule, and cost objectives
  • Maintain schedule integrity through audits, updates, and configuration control practices
  • Support enterprise-level forecasting through consolidated roll-up schedules
  • Provide training, mentorship, and guidance on scheduling tools, methodologies, and best practices

Job Requirements

Required



  • Minimum of two (2) years of scheduling experience supporting industrial construction projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Primavera P6 for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules.
  • Experience developing and managing baseline schedules and supporting schedule change management processes.
  • Experience performing manpower loading, labor forecasting, and resource leveling across multiple projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent project schedules in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience integrating subcontractor and vendor schedules into master project schedules.
  • Experience conducting schedule risk analysis and scenario modeling to support project planning and execution.
  • Experience developing look-ahead schedules to support field operations and near-term execution planning.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, including the ability to prepare schedule updates, dashboards, and executive-level reports.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and schedule support activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with field teams, project managers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.



Preferred



  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or federal construction projects.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-phase construction projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with enterprise project management systems or integrated scheduling environments.
  • Experience supporting program-level schedule consolidation and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate schedule risks in complex construction environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented and structured approach to project scheduling.
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments while meeting critical deadlines.
