JOB SUMMARY

As an Intern, you will be part of the team from day one and given training and tasks that are important and impactful to our projects' success.Internsin this rolewill learn how toidentify,measure, and analyze quality risks in the business and support efforts ineliminatingthem.

Success in this role depends on theIntern's initiative and teamwork skills.A successfulInternwill be able tolead RootCauseAnalysismeetings, accurately read shop drawings, successfullyassistthe warranty team with logging calls and updating costs, and build visualizations for both warranty and rework data.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate regularly withQualityTeamto discuss quality-related observations, warranty trends, and ensure shared understanding and resolution of quality concerns.

  • Supportroot cause analysisofevents that compromise qualityonconstruction projectsand support initiatives toensuresustainable solutions.

  • Review equipment documentation and construction shop drawings to mitigate quality and safety risks andidentifyeconomization opportunities.

  • Attendperiodicjobsiteand shopvisits to learn about mechanical and plumbing systems,identifyinstallation compliance to quality standards, andidentifylean risks to safety and productivity.

  • Maintain and update the warranty call log by tracking key data such as manufacturer/vendor information, root cause, call status, and updates from project teams toassistwith trend tracking across the company.

  • Assistwarranty coordinators by scheduling service calls with dispatch and coordinating technician availability to supporttimelyresolution of warranty calls.

  • Facilitate the creation of permanent reporting capabilities using Smartsheet or other software/technologies for theQualityteam and internal customers.

BASICQUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Candidates must be enrolledat an accrediteduniversitymajoring in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering,Computer Science,BusinessManagementor a related degree.

  • Candidates mustbe able to work at least 30 hours a week during regular business hours

  • Ability to use time productively.

  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as within a team.

  • Maintaina strongattention to detail.

  • Effective verbal and written communication across multidisciplinary teams (e.g., Project Managers, field staff, drafting, and shops).

PREFERREDREQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates who can workthreeor morefull-time semesters.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment.

  • No or limited exposure to physical risk; occasional jobsite visitsmayrequire climbingpermanent and temporary stairs/ladders, passenger use of hoists,and navigatingactiveconstructionareas.

  • Light physical effort handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds may berequiredoccasionally.
