Job Summary

Implements an established company warranty program for New Construction, Special Projects and Service divisions within the Business Unit, as well as an established company commissioning program on a job by job basis. Responds to warranty calls from owners/clients regarding work that would still qualify for the warranty period and determining which division is responsible for the work as well as establishing potential failures by vendor/manufacturer equipment and responsibility of those vendors/manufacturers. Responsible for commissioning of systems we install and that the system installed conforms to how it was intended to operate and that it was installed properly, tested and the end user is capable of operating the system. Recommends further services available to upgrade and maintain the systems in place. Performs ancillary duties as required.


Essential Duties

  • Leads, mentors, and nurtures direct reports to foster professional growth. Conducts regular and constructive performance management discussions.
  • Responsible for implementing the Business Unit's warranty program with guidance from Senior Leaders and the company warranty program. Determines methods to implement the program, ways to monitor it, and areas of focus and emphasis.
  • Establishes necessary warranty procedures and processes to reduce costs associated with warranty repairs.
  • Tracks warranty issues, costs, etc., based on data collected. Analyzes data for trends in terms of issue rate, number of issues, and which division the issue is attached to. Based on this analysis, makes recommendations to leadership for the reduction in warranty issues.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related technical field is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.

Seven or more years of experience, with opportunities available for candidates with a strong track record and potential.

Strong leadership skills are required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of specifications and blueprints.
Working knowledge of commercial Plumbing and HVAC systems.
