Mandatory Position
This position is designated as 'mandatory' and, when contacted to report to work, its incumbent is expected to reach the campus as expeditiously as possible using normal precautions as dictated by the adverse weather conditions. |
| Primary Purpose of Position |
The primary purpose of this position is to support the Facilities Operations teams by managing the timely delivery of parts and materials across campus and collecting items from local vendors throughout the Charlotte Metro area. This role is also responsible for kitting parts and materials in preparation for delivery, in coordination with team staff members and management.
In addition to delivery and kitting responsibilities, this position plays a critical role in the management of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, organizing, and tracking inventory. The Materials Delivery and Inventory Associate will help maintain accurate inventory records, support regular cycle counts, assist with stock replenishment, and ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and in compliance with safety protocols. |
| Minimum Education/Experience |
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency.

| Essential Job Duties |
- Kitting of parts and materials.
- Delivery of parts and materials on campus.
- Collection of parts and materials from vendors off campus.
- Transport and stock parts and materials to parts cribs on campus.
- Assist with receiving of packages.
- Assist with warehouse inventory management.

| Other Work Responsibilities |
- Work within a team to provide support for parts and material sourcing.
- Work with minimal supervision or instruction, and complete work with a high level of competence and professionalism in compliance with the universities policies.
- Pull and stage parts and material for surplus .
- Perform other duties as assigned and/or delegated to support all operations.

- Basic knowledge of warehouse management and inventory control.
- Experience in tracking data and record keeping.
- Experience working in a team setting.
- Ability to foster and create an atmosphere of teamwork.
- Effective skills in verbal, written and interpersonal communications, however excellent communication skills are preferred.
- Computer literate. Knowledge and skill with Google Applications, Microsoft Word and Excel, and willingness to learn new programs.
