Title: California-licensed Pharmacy Technician Location: Irvine, CA 92618 Upland, CA 91786 Shift: 1st Shift - 8am - 4:30pm Duration: 6 Months Payrate: $25/hr. to $30/hr. on W2 without benefits Notes: Hospital - Chemotherapy experience required Experience in performing compounding duties in a sterile environment required. Licensed pharmacy technician license in good standing with California Board of Pharmacy required Job Description Fills prescriptions under the supervision of Pharmacist in hospital pharmacy or retail establishment, and performs a variety of other duties. Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, and types labels for bottles. Role & Responsibilities: This position requires a California-licensed Pharmacy Technician working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The technician will be responsible for the packaging, preparation, and sterile compounding of intravenous medications as well as injectable medications, including chemotherapy and other biohazardous drugs. All duties must be performed in accordance with USP <797> and <800> standards, institutional protocols, and safety guidelines. Qualifications & Experience: At least 3 years of performing related duties as a pharmacy technician. Need candidates with hospital experience, not retail experience. Licensed pharmacy technician license in good standing with California Board of Pharmacy Required Education: High School or equivalent or Post High School vocational/specialized training or Graduation from a foreign school of Pharmacy
