Title: Janitor II Location: Kaneohe HI, 96744 Duration: 3 months Contract Payrate: $20/hr on W2 without benefits Shift Timings: 40 hr/ week Sunday to Saturday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm (May be changed) Role & Responsibilities: Sweeps. mops and scrubs floors; strips and waxes floors; dusts: cleans windows and screens: replenishes housekeeping supplies: empties and cleans receptacles; cleans light fixtures; cleans and disinfects water fountains, wash basins, toilets, and showers in accordance with approved infection control methods; removes dust and mildew/mold from doors/doorframes and walls which are not easily accessible; cleans walls top to bottom with tools/cleaning solutions required for each particular surface; cleans A/C vents. Operates heavy duty industrial cleaning equipment; moves and arranges furniture for cleaning projects; power washes sidewalks and stairs. Picks up Bio-Hazard containers. Reports maintenance needs on the units to the supervisor. Other duties assigned by supervisor. Equipment to be used: Mop, broom, strip and wax buffing machines, wet vacuum, power washer, vacuum and other cleaning equipment. Skills/Abilities: Ability to lift and carry heavy furniture and equipment; understand and follow oral and written instructions; and operate heavy industrial-type cleaning equipment. Occasional lifting exerting of a maximum of 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects up to 25 pounds. May require significant walking or standing. Knowledge: Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, housekeeping equipment, tools and chemicals. Job related attire: Work clothes/casual, impact/electrical/slip-resistant shoes.
