High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent verbal and written communication)
  • At least one year of research experience with human subjects
  • Experience with community-engaged research preferred
  • Due to the nature of the population that this position will be working with, evening and weekend work may be required
  • 2 year commitment to position preferred

Position Summary
The research coordinator position assists with managing the day-to-day operations of a research lab and associated ongoing studies. The tasks and duties of this position will include, but not be limited to, overseeing the undergraduate research assistants, helping to recruit and run participants through ongoing and future research studies, managing community partnerships, and managing the administrative duties associated with ongoing and future study protocols.

  • Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication skills, and attention to detail skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of research protocols and ethical standards for working with human subjects.
  • Knowledge of community-engaged research principles and practices
  • Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with a variety of populations.
  • Ability to follow established research procedures and protocols independently under supervision.

This position primarily involves sedentary work, requiring the ability to sit for extended periods while maintaining focus and productivity. Candidates should be comfortable with frequent keyboard and mouse use. Occasional mobility and standing for extended periods of time may be required for meetings, community engagement events and collaborations.

  • Assist with the execution of research study protocols following established procedures
  • Recruit and run participants through study protocols
  • Assist with conducting participant sessions in accordance with study guidelines
  • Enter, organize, and maintain research data with accuracy
