Job Description
The Dispatcher works closely with Transportation and Operations and is responsible for coordinating and
overseeing the daily dispatch of airline catering orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of food,
beverages, and related supplies to meet flight schedules. This role requires close collaboration with production,
transportation, and airline representatives to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all safety and
quality standards.

Essential Functions
* Answer incoming calls from customers and pass critical updates to all departments to ensure order accuracy.
* Verify, print, and organize daily dispatch and delivery schedules according to flight departure times.
* Final catering order and final boarding bill for accuracy, completeness, and special requirements.
* Coordinate with production, assembly, and transportation teams to ensure orders are ready and loaded on
time.
* Track outbound and inbound vehicle movements, ensuring adherence to delivery timelines and airline
specifications.
* Maintain communication with drivers, loaders, and airline representatives to resolve scheduling or delivery
issues in real time.
* Record dispatch data such as times, quantities, and discrepancies in dispatch logs or ERP systems.
* Monitor the return of catering equipment, carts, and trays, ensuring proper reconciliation and
documentation.
* Interact with third-party security agents in compliance with TSA (Transportation Security Administration)
regulations.
* Support continuous improvement efforts in operational efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Dispatch Supervisor or Manager.

Skills & Qualifications
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in logistics, dispatching, warehouse, or food manufacturing operations
(airline catering experience preferred).
* Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment and meet strict deadlines.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and/or ERP dispatch systems.
* Forklift certification or familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
Screening Requirements
* Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
* Must be eligible and maintain a TSA (Transportation Security Administration) background check.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
This position is located in a food manufacturing facility. Dispatchers normally work in the front dispatch office
on the loading dock, within the unit. Employees must follow strict sanitation and safety protocols, including the
use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Work may take place on wet or slippery surfaces. Schedules may
include overtime, weekends, or holidays based on operational needs.

Physical Demands
The physical requirements for this position may include, but are not limited to:
* Standing/Walking: Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, often on concrete or other hard
surfaces.
* Lifting/Carrying: Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 25 lbs. (occasionally more with
assistance or equipment).
* Repetitive Motions: Use of hands and arms for repetitive tasks such as packing, sorting, or operating
machinery.
* Reaching/Bending: Frequent reaching overhead, bending, stooping, and crouching throughout the shift.
* Manual Dexterity: Use of fine motor skills for tasks requiring precision and coordination, such as
operating controls or using small tools.
* Climbing: Occasionally climb ladders or stairs to access equipment or elevated workstations.
* Visual Requirements: Ability to visually inspect products, labels, or equipment for quality and safety
standards.
* Auditory Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, machine sounds, and verbal communication in a noisy
environment.
* PPE Use: Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (e.g., gloves, hairnets, earplugs,
safety glasses, steel-toe boots) for the duration of the shift.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Standard hours and days of work may vary based on production
schedules and operational needs, including flight schedules. Evening, weekends, and holiday work may be
required, as well as occasional overtime.
