Highlighter

Position Summary

Performs operations to lighten or darken the finish on exposed wood frame parts, frame sub-assemblies, and/or materials. Work on a variety of parts as assigned performing lighting and darkening operations for correct color match to ensure completion of work is to quanity and quality standards.

1. A continously moving motorized conveyor brings the next frame or frame sub-assembly to the highligher. The highligher must manuever arond and step over the conveyor system in order to perform the job.
2. Use finishing rag to apply finish to sofas, loveseats, chairs, ottomans and beds to assure appropriate color match.
3. Timely highligh the frame by rubbing the finish on to the the exposed wood.
4. Rotate the frame or pallet to make sure the entire frame is highlighted.
5. If defect is found, tape area.
6. May perform other duties/special or non-routine assignments as instructed.
