Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Contribute to the technical development of enzyme and yeast products throughout the commercialization process, including formulation and stability, performance evaluation, scaleup, marketing material generation, and postlaunch support
  • Support Sales and Technical Service teams through biochemical and analytical evaluation of customer samples
  • Perform labscale simulations of customer processes to support technical evaluations and recommendations
  • Design, execute, interpret, and document laboratory and pilotscale experiments
  • Develop and optimize analytical and biochemical methods relevant to fermentation and enzyme applications
  • Provide remote and onsite technical support to customers as needed
  • Support precommercial trials of enzyme and yeast products at customer sites

What Makes You the Right Fit

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a closely related field
  • Research experience in an academic and/or industrial setting
  • Handson experience conducting biochemical and/or fermentation experiments at laboratory and/or pilot scale
  • Experience with analytical techniques used to monitor biochemical and fermentation processes, such as HighPerformance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and biochemical assays
  • Solid understanding of enzyme kinetics and fermentation fundamentals
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Availability to travel up to 10% of the time

How Would You Stand Out?

  • Experience in industrial biotechnology, drygrind fuel ethanol, carbohydrate processing, or brewing industries
  • Experience working with enzymes and/or yeast used in starch and biomass processing and ethanol fermentation
  • Experience with process scaleup or scaledown activities
