SUMMARY OF POSITION: A BSA/AML Analyst should demonstrate commitment to delivering distinctive service. This position will be responsible for operational support duties as they relate to the Firm's Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) Program. The BSA/AML Analyst assists the BSA/AML Manager and others, as needed, and provides guidance to associates on the Firm's BSA/AML policies and procedures. Additionally, this role performs a variety of routine daily tasks; reviews reports, prepares correspondence, and participates in special department projects. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide distinctive service to clients and prospects, in person and over the telephone. Respond to client inquiries and satisfactorily resolve client issues. Support firm-wide achievement of the three-ring standard (all phones answered by a live person within three rings).
- Provide BSA/AML reporting by utilizing Firm's software to file Currency Transactions Reports (CTRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as required by law.
- Coordinate the monitoring of day-to-day compliance with BSA/AML Program to include OFAC and 314a requirements.
- Perform investigations of potential suspicious activity initiated by software alerts and/or associate referrals. Review high risk clients and perform necessary enhanced due diligence. Engage Financial Advisors and Office Associates for insight and additional information. Coordinate this work with team members.
- Identify, report, and mitigate potential BSA risk issues. Interact with BSA Team and other associates to provide feedback, guidance, and support.
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and trends. Participate in internal/external BSA/AML specific training webinars, seminars, conferences, etc.
- Participate in any BSA/AML related meetings.
- Meet all the client's financial needs, both business and personal, and refer clients to other specialty areas such as Trust, Investments, Insurance, Treasury Management, etc. as appropriate.
- Assist other team members as needed to ensure delivery of distinctive service.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
DESCRIPTION OF EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent - College degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in financial services, with minimum of five (5) years' experience preferably in a BSA/AML compliance-related role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or related software.
- Knowledge of federal banking regulations and compliance as it relates to aspects of deposit and loan transaction processing, specifically training and education related to USA PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) KYC/CIP programs.
- CAMS Certification (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) is preferred.

- The physical activities of this job include but are not limited to the ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time, use of manual dexterity, verbal communication, visual acuity, repetitive motion, and the ability to hear.
