Position Summary
The Branch Equipment Platform Owner is responsible for the management of all cash handling and member service equipment across the credit union's branch network. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role defines standards, selects and manages vendors, drives equipment strategy, leads multi year lifecycle and modernization planning, and makes operational decisions that directly impact member experience, financial performance, and operational risk.
The position partners closely with vendors, IT, branch teams, and armored carriers to minimize downtime, resolve equipment issues, and support cash logistics. This role also leads equipment related projects, evaluates technology improvements, and ensures all activities meet operational, security, and regulatory standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
Enterprise Equipment Strategy and Lifecycle Ownership
* Define and manage the end-to-end lifecycle strategy for ATMs, TCRs, cash counters, coin counters, and related branch equipment.
* Establish enterprise standards for equipment performance, availability, security, and member experience.
* Develop multi-year lifecycle, replacement, and modernization roadmaps aligned with operational and strategic objectives.
* Use performance data, incident trends, and usage analytics to drive proactive upgrades and technology decisions.

Vendor Strategy and Accountability
* Act as the single point of contact for all ATM and branch equipment vendors, including service providers, armored carriers, and technology suppliers.
* Select vendors, define service models, negotiate pricing, enforce SLAs, and hold partners accountable for outcomes.
* Lead contract evaluations, renewals, and vendor performance reviews.
* Escalate and resolve systemic vendor performance issues decisively.

Operational Performance and Risk Management
* Manage network-wide equipment availability, downtime performance, and incident response outcomes.
* Make independent, time-critical decisions during outages, failures, or security events to restore service and mitigate risk.
* Ensure all equipment operations meet regulatory, security, audit, and internal risk standards.
* Lead response to damage, fraud-related equipment events, and security events.

Cash Automation and Logistics Oversight
* Analyze cash usage patterns, optimize cash levels, and reduce operational inefficiencies.
* Direct armored carrier strategy and coordination with the Federal Reserve.
* Ensure appropriate inventory of consumables and equipment components.

Process Ownership, Documentation, and Enablement
* Define and maintain operating procedures, standards, and documentation for branch equipment operations.
* Develop guidance and training materials that enable consistent equipment handling and issue resolution at the branch level.
* Continuously identify and implement process improvements that enhance reliability, efficiency, and member experience.

Technology Integrations and Cross-Functional Leadership
* Serve as the enterprise authority on ATM and branch equipment behavior, diagnostics, and performance characteristics.
* Partner with IT and other internal teams on connectivity, software updates, integrations, and infrastructure dependencies.
* Lead cross-functional initiatives related to branch modernization, equipment pilots, and process redesign.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills
Required Knowledge
* 7+ years' experience in vendor management, project management, process management, procurement, facility/equipment management, critical infrastructure environments, or related field.
* Well-versed knowledge of credit union branch equipment such as TCRs, ATMs, cash counters, and coin counters.
* Demonstrated success independently leading complex, high impact domains.
* Proven experience acting as the decision authority for operational outcomes.
* Deep cross functional knowledge of department's role and how it connects to Affinity Plus's operations, functions and services.

Technology Experience
* Intermediate computer and technology skills and knowledge, with the ability to navigate between multiple systems with ease.
* Experience with equipment diagnostics and field-service coordination.

Physical Requirements
Work environment details
* This is a Hybrid role requiring reliable internet access and home office setup.
* Physical requirements, if any: lifting, standing, etc.
* Sitting 70% and standing 30% which is determined on the current priority and need.
* Working at a computer 80% of the day, utilizing the phone 20%
* Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, or crouching when appropriate, on occasion
* Repetitive movements, including but not limited to typing, using a mouse, phones, etc.
* Lift, carry, push or pull up to approximately 30 pounds
* Requires onsite presence based on coordination of work with other employees and/or departments. May require travel to attend on-site meetings/events for collaboration, connection, project work, All-Employee Day, etc. Requires face-to-face interaction and/or coordination of work with other employees and departments, and in-person interaction.

Travel requirements
* Requires travel throughout the State of MN. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
* Travel, including some overnight, is required for installations, inspections, or vendor coordination.

Required Work Schedule
Standard Monday through Friday business hours with a willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed. Occasional after-hours or weekend work required for equipment installations, upgrades, or emergencies. Consistent and reliable attendance is a required essential function of this role to meet the needs of the department/team and organization.

Location

This position is hybrid, with a regular onsite cadence expectation in St. Paul, MN, typically once/week. Additional days onsite may be required for other meetings and project work as needed plus for any travel days as outlined in the travel requirements above.

Compensation

This position has a starting pay range of $69,100 - $88,100 annually.

This range reflects what we anticipate offering a successful candidate based on factors such as the role's responsibilities, required qualifications, and relevant experience. The actual pay may vary depending on the selected candidate's skills, experience, and other qualifications.
