Kennedy Jenks is seeking an engaging Senior Graphics Designer to manage marketing activities, proposals, and interview preparation. This role can be based in one of many KJ office locations. The right candidate helps to build and maintain client relationships and be a face of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Graphic Manager, this position will focus on presentation support, both internal and external, strategic requests, working with senior leadership, and new company initiatives. There will be a focus on developing recommendations for new processes and process improvements and implementing them. This position is responsible for preparing work according to company standards and established deadlines. You will work closely with the marketing, communication, and technical staff and participate in brainstorming visuals for strategic pursuits, interviews, and technical submittals. You will participate in interview & proposal prep. You may participate in the external communication strategy. Proactive participant in template management & upholder of brand guidelines.


  • Coordinates and leads the collection and assembly of graphic materials for proposals, SOQs, presentations, conferences, communication requests, and interviews.
  • Collaborate with marketing leads and creative teams, maintaining alignment with deadlines.
  • Leads the design, edits, and graphic production for internal and external use, including but not limited to creating layouts for proposals and interviews, design brochures, signs, print and digital ads, as well as other communication materials.
  • Contribute to storyboarding sessions.
  • Leads and maintains graphics standards and brand integrity.
  • Travels occasionally to other offices to provide support.
  • Develops and implements process improvements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal clients.
  • Coordinate and provide support for external meetings, events (such as conferences, special events, outreach attendance) attended by prospective clients, teaming partners, and future employees.
  • Supports the recruiting team in growing KJ.

Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of professional graphic design experience.
  • A/E/C industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to develop and lead graphic art and layout design for print.
  • Ability to prepare files for print and digital releases.
  • Ability to conceptualize technical and abstract visuals to meet requested objectives.
  • Expert with Microsoft Office products, Adobe Creative Suite applications such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Intermediate knowledge of WordPress, video editing, and animated images is a plus.
  • Strong marketing writing, editing, and marketing research skills.
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex proposal and interview presentation efforts by working with Client Directors, Client Team Leaders, and other technical staff.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, supervisors, peers, and clients, internally and externally.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing and business development strategies and tactics, as well as a solid comprehension of the industry.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team, as well as independently, motivated with minimal supervision
  • Able to travel as needed.

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $78,000 to $102,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location.
