Job Description
Role Overview: Unpack Your Potential
As a press operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting press machines to print directly on our customer's products. Also, Mount plates in designated work station as needed along with being responsible for the Hazardous Waste program.

Schedule:
Shift: 12-hourdayshifts (6 AM - 6 PM) on a2-2-3 rotation

Note:Must be available on alternating weekends and some holidays

What you'll do:

  • Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and quality manufacturing.
  • Perform equipment changeovers including inks, coatings, papers, plates, cylinders, and configurations per job requirements.
  • Inspect product quality and raw materials during production; make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Clean and maintain presses, plates, rollers, doctor blades, and related components; perform minor mechanical adjustments and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare, mount, inspect, trim, and remove printing plates and cylinders according to SOC information and department standards.
  • Complete and verify production, quality, and material usage documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards, 5S practices, and a safe, organized work area.
  • Understand and support product safety requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Coordinate controlled and hazardous materials handling, storage, labeling, inventory, and documentation in compliance with EPA, DOT, and Amcor standards.
  • Maintain hazardous material tracking, reporting, audits, SDS programs, and participate in inspections or inquiries as required.
  • Maintain annual DOT Hazmat Certification and support continuous improvement initiatives through teamwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Manufacturing experience or previous machine operating is required
  • Technical knowledge of press preferred, not required
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read a ruler
  • Basic computer skills
  • Demonstrates organizational skills'

Physical Requirements

  • Extendedperiods of standing and walking in the production facility, and some occasional lifting of heavy items, i.e. cores or shafts.
  • Ability to lift 55+ pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Other physical demands include crouching and reaching.
  • Use of ladders and elevated walkways required.
