The Senior Solution Consultant provides enterprise pre-sales support in the development and presentation of our platform for prospective clients and current customers to address the complex problems that Workiva's platform and solutions solve. This role serves as a trusted advisor supporting the business throughout the sales cycle by connecting customer outcomes to platform capabilities, rapidly iterating on solutions, owning the technical relationship and guiding customers through technical validation and value based demonstrations.

What You'll Do

  • Execute enterprise pre-sales framework to engage customers, prospects, and partners via virtual and onsite meetings, drive the discovery process, lead product demonstrations, and identify areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer/prospect needs

  • Demonstrate expertise across all of Workiva's domain areas - Financial Reporting, GRC, and Sustainability Reporting - developing working knowledge of industries, departments, and use cases where Workiva can have an impact

  • Partner with sales in territory planningin support of Workiva strategies and objectives

  • Conduct process assessments with customers, build Proof of Concepts to validate requirements, build and present partner specific business cases

  • Ensure customer success by working with implementation partners and Workiva Client Services team for smooth on-boarding and long term success

  • Assist in developing new use-cases or by using existing templates providing proof of our solution's impact and value proposition

  • May begin to deliver cross-domain coaching, training, or mentoring peers

  • Work with Sales, Product Marketing, Client Services, Scoping, and Customer Success to achieve team and company goals

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 4 years and a Master's degree; or 2 years and a PhD

  • Financial Reporting, GRC, or Sustainability Reporting knowledge is valuable in this role. Candidates should either bring existing expertise or demonstrate strong aptitude and commitment to rapidly developing deep domain expertise

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience engaging with and presenting to business or IT managers and executives

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement

  • Experience building processes from the ground up, including design, proposal, and cross-functional alignment

  • Demonstrates proactive collaboration and feedback to product management teams to capture new customer requirements and enhancements, may require guidance as needed

  • Ability to solve problems and articulate solutions to business problems with strong communication and presentation skills

  • Hands on technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and architectures preferred

  • Experience with high level technical aspects of connectivity and integration (API)

  • Capability to gather business needs and present a value based, compelling software demonstration is preferred

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Up to 30% Travel

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office

How You'll Be Rewarded

On Target Earnings (OTE) range in the US: 156,000.00 - 253,000.00 USD Annual

Eligible for commission based on sales performance

Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
