What You'll Get Competitive wages based on experience Opportunities for growth within warehouse and cold storage operations Paid training, including forklift certification A safe, teamoriented work environment focused on food safety The stability of working for a familyowned food manufacturing company with over 130 years of success What You'll Do Coordinate finished goods movement into and out of cold storage and frozen warehouse locations Work closely with the Cold Storage Supervisor to manage shipping, repack, inventory control, and storage locations Lead daily forklift and loadout operations to support accurate and ontime shipments Direct forklift operators on proper product placement, retrieval, and stacking in freezer storage Verify shipment accuracy by checking counts, product condition, and load completion Train and guide storage and loading employees on safe material handling and warehouse procedures Inspect storage areas and pallet stacking to ensure warehouse safety and compliance Support and enforce food safety, sanitation, and safety policies Participate in continuous improvement efforts across warehouse and shipping operations What You'll Bring High school diploma or GED required 5+ years of warehouse, cold storage, shipping, or forklift experience, or equivalent education and experience Proven experience operating forklifts in cold or frozen environments Ability to lead teams in a fastpaced warehouse or food production setting Ability to read and follow safety rules, work instructions, and shipping documentation Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operators and supervisors Basic math skills, including counts, measurements, and percentages Ability to pass company forklift written and driving certifications Leadership Responsibilities Lead approximately 1-15 employees, including forklift operators and loading personnel Assign daily work, provide handson training, and monitor performance Address operational or employee issues in alignment with company policy Where You'll Work Cold storage and frozen warehouse environment with exposure to extreme cold Work around forklifts, propanepowered equipment, and moving machinery Moderate noise levels throughout the warehouse Required use of PPE, including bump cap, hearing protection, and hair net when applicable Strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards Equipment You'll Use Forklift trucks (including slipsheet attachments) Battery chargers and hoists Warehouse cleaning and sanitation equipment Lakeside Foods and our family of companies welcomes people of all backgrounds and the varied ideas they bring to the workplace.
