Description

Position Description:

The Loan Closing Specialist is primarily responsible for the thorough review of loan approvals to determine due diligence requirements, prepare accurate commercial loan documents, complete loan disbursements and any other duties associated with the loan closing process. This position requires a key focus on communication, proactively interacting with internal and external customers and third-party vendors.

Duties include, but are not limited to:



  • Monitor loan assignments to ensure prompt processing and meet deadlines
  • Determine requirements, request and review for accuracy all due diligence items, including property and entity related items
  • Maintain organized electronic files and notes
  • Prepare worksheets and checklists as required
  • Prepare accurate commercial loan documents that comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements; review and ensure accuracy and quality control with strong attention to detail
  • Work with consumer documentation team, review disclosures and documents for loan closing
  • Upload due diligence items to Imaging system
  • Communicate and coordinate with Lenders, Commercial Loan Associates and third-party vendors to collect needed items and schedule loan closings
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with team members, Loan Officers, third-party vendors, internal and external customers and associates
  • Prepare timely and accurate disbursement of loan proceeds and fees
  • Perfect collateral position
  • Assist in preparation of Collateral Release Requests
  • Process loan advances and payments
  • Other duties as required



Position Requirements:



  • Minimum 3 years of commercial loan documentation experience required; experience with LaserPro preferred
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Ability to work independently as well as appropriately escalate issues requiring management level decision making
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great organization skills, highly detail oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Extensive knowledge of vendor and entity documents such as title work, appraisals, flood determinations, insurance certificates, operating agreements, etc.
  • Working knowledge of commercial and consumer lending policies and state and federal laws and regulations
  • Working knowledge of complex commercial style transactions


Demonstrate a thorough understanding of applicable bank policies and procedures as they pertain to the satisfaction of loan closing conditions as well as vendor documents and services

Annual Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000.00. Compensation is aligned to experience, skills and education. Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage; paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave; and 401(K) plan. Hours of paid leave may vary based on position. This position is expected to close on August 1, 2026. If the position has not been filled by the expected date, the date may be extended and will be updated on the job posting.
