The Strategy and Innovation area at Georgia Tech's Scheller College of Business in Atlanta, Georgia seeks qualified applicants for one tenure-track appointment at the rank of assistant/associate commencing in the Fall semester of 2025 which begins in mid-August. The ideal candidate will complement our focus on strategy and innovation and have a record of outstanding empirical research demonstrating a deep understanding of econometric methods that facilitate causal inference.

Job Summary

The Scheller College of Business https://www.scheller.gatech.edu/ at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position in Strategy & Innovation. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include demonstrated ability to teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, outstanding research, and excellent recommendations. The duties of the position include teaching six credit hours in the first year (AY26-27) and nine credit hours per year thereafter. A competitive salary will be offered.

Responsibilities for this position entails:

  • Excellence in classroom instruction in subjects related to strategy and innovation management at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

  • Active commitment to producing world-class scholarship and publishing in top-tier academic journals on an ongoing basis.

  • Dedication to participation and leadership in professional activities, such as presenting work-in-progress at important professional conferences, peer-review, and editorial positions in relevant journals.

  • Commitment to service and student-engagement at the Institute level and beyond.

Required Qualifications

The minimum requirements are a Ph.D. in Strategic Management or related areas such as economics or entrepreneurship (candidates must have their Ph.D. completed no later than their start date).

Preferred Qualifications

- The ability to teach and mentor a multifaceted student body.
- The ability to design and teach curricula that are responsive to all students.
- The ability to engage students in experiential learning activities and pedagogy that support student success.
