Admissions Visits and Events Coordinator

Washington College is seeking an individual to coordinate daily and weekend campus visits for prospective students and families, plan admissions events throughout the calendar year and supervise student tour guides, including scheduling work hours and scheduling tours on main campus as well as the College's Centers of Excellence.

Essential Functions:



  • Use admissions technology to manage and schedule student and family tours on a daily basis, as well as selective weekends. Phone call and email follow-up is essential.
  • Work with Admissions Counselors on presentations and student interviews.
  • Coordinate with offices across campus to plan admissions events including working with faculty, coaches, catering, facilities and other offices.
  • Work with facilities offices on maintenance of all visitor center rooms, including guest restrooms.
  • Reserving spaces across campus and planning for set-up (i.e. conference, lecture, etc.) and technology for each event.
  • Manage and supervise student tour guide schedules for daily and weekend tours, including admissions events.
  • Proper training and hiring of tour guides for specific tours and/or events.
  • Managing the physical space including the welcoming center, interview and presentation rooms, immediate parking for guests and occasional times in the lobby of the Casey Academic Center.
  • Preparing materials for guests including brochures, visit folders, academic information sheets, water bottles, admissions gifts, etc.


Qualifications :



  • Minimum of an associate's degree and/or equivalent experience, preferably 2-3 years.
  • Demonstrated customer service and knowledge of working with a variety of audiences

    • Strong interpersonal skills


  • Experience with detail-oriented tasks
  • Knowledge of admissions office visit activities
  • Organizational, creative planning, problem-solving and innovative skills
  • Microsoft office (word, excel, ppt, etc.) experience
  • Ability to learn new admissions technologies
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments, depending on the admissions cycle


Schedule



  • 35 hours per week
  • Some weekends


Salary: $58,000 - $62,000
