You will lead the delivery of capital projects and facilities safety performance that enable our facilities to meet business needs. You will work across workplace, real estate and facilities management team (WREF), EHS, operations and site leadership to plan and deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the right standards. Responsibilities:
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • End-to-End Project Delivery and Reporting:
    Accountable for the full lifecycle delivery of capital and engineering projects across assigned sites, from initiation through handover. This includes project reporting, managing and approvals, schedule and performance management, financial and operational recovery planning, risk assessment and mitigation, and effective transition to operations.

  • Benefits Realization & Performance Management:
    Ensure projects deliver agreed business benefits by tracking performance against defined KPIs and aligning outcomes with site, regional, and corporate objectives. Oversee service partner performance against contractual KPIs and address performance gaps as required.

  • Governance, Assurance & Compliance:
    Conduct assurance reviews and stage-gate assessments to ensure all projects meet GSK quality, safety, compliance, and governance standards. Ensure alignment with country regulations, GSK policies, standards, SOPs, and site-specific requirements.

  • Safety Leadership & Risk Management:
    Embed a strong culture of safety and compliance across WREF Americas, aligned with GSK's internal control framework. Define and implement project risk management strategies, support and/or deliver risk assessments, and ensure timely completion of risk mitigation actions, EHS CAPAs, and responses to Global Alerts.

  • Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis:
    Ensure adverse events related to project delivery are thoroughly investigated, with appropriate corrective and preventative actions implemented. Stop work and escalate issues where required. Drive Root Cause Analysis when contractual deliverables, GSK standards, or legal requirements are not met, in collaboration with WREF Ops, EHS, and other stakeholders.

  • Project Planning & Technical Development:
    Work closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to define user requirements, scope, deliverables, resources, work plans, budgets, and timelines. Develop project options and preferred schemes in collaboration with the RE and Capital Project Director, Occupancy/Space Planning, Engineering/Operations Leads, and design consultants.

  • Delivery & Procurement Strategy:
    Work closely with the Americas WREF Head and WREF Regional Leads to determine optimal project delivery and procurement strategies, including value engineering aligned with risk and compliance requirements.

  • Service Partner Oversight & Regional Consistency:
    Oversee Service Partner safety, compliance, and risk management performance across the region. Implement strategies to enhance performance, address capability gaps, and ensure consistent service delivery across all Americas commercial sites.

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Governance Forums:
    Serve as a key liaison between WREF Americas, site teams, Service Partners, and EHS. Actively participate in site and regional governance meetings, operational forums, and weekly tiered meetings as required.

  • Audit Readiness & Continuous Improvement:
    Support regional audit readiness and compliance reviews. Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and safety performance by capturing lessons learned, sharing best practices through Communities of Practice, and leveraging internal and external benchmarks.

Work arrangement:
This role is hybrid. You will be expected on-site two to three days per week and work remotely for the remaining days.

Basic Qualifications:
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, construction management, or related technical discipline; or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of project management or technical project delivery experience in a regulated environment.
- Experience managing projects spanning design, procurement, construction, commissioning and qualification.
- Demonstrable experience building and maintaining project plans, budgets, and risk registers.
- Stakeholder management and clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Practical understanding of quality and safety requirements in a facility environment.

- Knowledge in EHS, Facilities Safety

Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Advanced degree in engineering, project management, or related field.
- Project management certification (for example PMP) or formal PM training.
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
- Experience leading multi-discipline teams in pharmaceutical, biotech or laboratory environments.
- Track record of applying continuous improvement or lean methods to project delivery.
