CW is seeking a dedicated Site Safety Officer to support our commercial landscaping operations and help maintain the highest standards of safety and performance across our worksites. If you take pride in protecting people, improving processes, and creating safe, efficient outdoor environments, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.



  • Conduct routine safety inspections of work areas, equipment, storage rooms, and chemical stations.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and sitespecific safety requirements.

  • Monitor proper use of PPE, cleaning chemicals, and janitorial equipment.

  • Maintain safety logs, incident reports, and inspection records.

  • Respond to safety concerns, nearmisses, and incidents with proper documentation and follow

  • Train staff on safety procedures, chemical handling, equipment use, and emergency protocols.

  • Lead toolbox talks, refresher trainings, and safety briefings.

  • Communicate safety updates, policy changes, and corrective actions to staff and supervisors.

  • Serve as the onsite contact for safety questions or issues.

  • Work alongside janitorial staff to observe workflows and identify hazards.

  • Assist with safe setup, storage, and operation of janitorial equipment.

  • Support emergency response for spills, biohazards, and equipment issues.

  • Collaborate with site leadership to improve safety processes and reduce risk.


What You'll Need to Be Successful:



  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in janitorial, custodial, facilities, or environmental services.

  • Strong understanding of various cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.

  • Strong understanding of chemical safety, PPE requirements, and equipment operation.

  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and safe chemical handling practices.

  • Valid Real ID.

  • Valid Driver License.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain government base access.


Bonus If You Have These Skills:



  • OSHA 10/30hour certification in Construction or General Industry Safety.

  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond effectively to urgent situations.

  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a customerserviceoriented approach.

Physical & Environmental Demands:



  • Lifting & Carrying: Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 25-30 pounds, with occasional heavier handling supported by team members or equipment.

  • Movement & Posture: Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout the shift, including repetitive motions such as mopping, sweeping, wiping, and scrubbing, and the ability to safely navigate stairs, ramps, and uneven flooring while carrying supplies.

  • Work Environment: Work primarily indoors within commercial facilities where temperature, lighting, dust, dirt, allergens, and noise levels may vary, including exposure to vacuums, floor buffers, and other machinery with hearing protection provided when needed.

  • Chemical & Safety Exposure: Exposure to cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, solvents, and occasional biohazardous materials or bodily fluids, with all required training, safety protocols, and PPE provided.

  • Work Conditions: Tasks may require working in confined or awkward spaces such as under sinks, behind furniture, or within equipment areas, and reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
