Engineering Intern Ducommun's Huntsville Performance Center is seeking an Engineering Intern to work full-time during the summer. The Engineering intern will assist Project and Mechanical Engineers in fixture design, fixture 3D prints, specification review, work instruction creation/changes, and production assembly support. Ideal intern will have completed college courses in engineering, have a willingness to learn and apply skills to assist engineers in daily tasks. Who are we? Electronic production Assembly support Teamwork with other engineers, managers, supervisors, and associates to solve small and large assignments. Develop work instructions for manufacturing and equipment operation. Performs other duties as assigned or required by the position. Required Skills and Qualifications Able to work effectively within a team environment and across functional groups. Ability to compose routine reports and correspondence. Multitask, good decision making, self-motivated, and problem solve. Must be computer literate, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Understanding of engineering principles required. Ability to read and understand load plans Ability to read and understand production drawings Basic component identification skills Ability to build electronic assemblies Required Experience and Education Recent graduate or currently enrolled working toward a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
