Medical Receptionist Washington DC Pay From: $20 per hour MUST: The Patient Registration Scheduling candidate should have the following experience: 3+ years of experience scheduling procedures and appointments Recent experience working for a high volume multi provider specialty practice Experience answering high volume phones Checking in and registering patients Reviewing paperwork with patients and ensuring that it is complete Providing patient education Collecting and processing payments Posting payments to patient accounts Documenting and updating patient information in EMR Experience working in a fast paced multi provider office High attention to detail DUTIES: The duties of the Patient Registration Clerk -Medical Scheduler include but are not limited to the following Answering phones Scheduling appointments and procedures Checking patients in and registering Assist patients with completing paperwork, ensuring all information obtained is complete and accurate. Obtain and scan Patient Photo ID, Insurance Card, Referrals and signed documents Validate patient identity Resolve outstanding Alerts on pending appointments at the time of patient arrival and ensure that no required information and referrals are missing Update patient Demographic/Insurance Information Enter relevant data, linking to the appropriate appointment/visit and ensure all required data elements are captured. Collects visit copayment, co-insurance, balance on account and self-pay payments Post payments to patients' account Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
