| Job Duties |
The Content Manager will serve as a graphic designer and will assist with the visual brand of the
ECU Athletics Department across print, digital and some audio/video platforms, as well as facility graphics for specific athletic programs.
The Content Manager works directly with the Director of Creative Media in the strategic development of awareness campaigns and organizational branding towards the achievement of visibility, relevance, and revenue goals/objectives. This position will also serve as a liaison with print advertising media partners across region while developing advertising strategies, schedules, and promotions. The Content Manager will work in support of the department's social media efforts and may be asked to work some game day events. Nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and travel are required in the performance of duties. This position will assist the Pirate Club with social media creation/distribution and perform other duties as assigned.
The Content Manager will build quality relationships and work collaboratively and professionally with Pirate Club, athletics, and University staff, students, business vendors and all donors and stakeholders. The candidate will also abide by all written policies and procedures of
ECU, the Department of Athletics, The Educational Foundation (Pirate Club), the National Collegiate Athletic Association (
NCAA), and all applicable conferences or associations. |
| Minimum Education/Experience |
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |

| Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education |
- Experience in commercial design, art, marketing, graphic design, sports or related field
- Expert level experience in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Illustrator and InDesign and working knowledge of Dreamweaver, and After Effects
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly communicate project goals to all members of the external division
- Knowledge of usage and best practices for consumer related products (marketing collateral, websites, TV commercials, digital signage) |
