AIR's Talent Management team is seeking a Recruiter to join its forward-thinking and collaborative team. The Recruiter plays a key role in executing inclusive, efficient, and high-quality hiring processes that support AIR's mission and values. Working closely with hiring managers and HR partners, the Recruiter manages full-cycle recruitment, builds candidate pipelines, and delivers a positive candidate experience while contributing to AIR's broader talent and workforce goals. This position reports to the Senior Recruiter within the team. Creative and relationshipdriven, the Recruiter builds lasting connections with both candidates and hiring managers, and leverages data and analytics to generate insights that make AIR's hiring processes smarter, more strategic, and more effective.

This position offers flexibility to be fully remote within the United States (does not include U.S. territories) or to work in a hybrid capacity from AIR's offices in Crystal City, VA, or Chicago, IL, with occasional travel required for meetings and training sessions.

Responsibilities:

The Recruiter partners closely with hiring managers and HR colleagues to deliver efficient, inclusive, and well-coordinated recruitment processes. Responsibilities include:



  • Leadfull-cycle recruitment for a range of positions, including proactive sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer facilitation.
  • Partner closelywith hiring managers to clarify role requirements, develop job postings, and align on search strategy and timelines.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines throughstrategic sourcing, targeted outreach, referrals, and optimized job posting channels.
  • Maintainaccurate, timely documentation within the applicant tracking system, maintaining compliance and data integrity,and seamless workflow visibility.
  • Support employer branding initiatives by managing social platform postings, participating in virtual career events, and preparing polished, candidatefacing materials.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support Applicant Tracking System (ATS) design and implementation efforts, including workflow optimization, testing, andusertraining.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key recruiting metrics, identifying trends and opportunities to strengthen efficiency, equity, and overall hiring outcomes.
  • Assist with strategic projects related to process improvement, talent market research, and candidate experience enhancements.
  • Foster strong relationships and enhance collaboration and engagement to achieve shared objectives.
  • Collaborate with HR partners to support onboarding activities and contribute to broader workforce planning efforts.
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time based on business needs.


Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally within a professional services, nonprofit, or research-driven environment.
  • Experienced with applicant tracking systems and sourcing platforms, including handson experience with Dayforce-supporting system implementations, workflow configuration, data migration, reporting, and enduser training.
  • Skilled in sourcing and lead generation, with handson experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other advanced tools to fill hardtohire roles.

  • Proficient in using Microsoft 365, including OneDrive, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets. Please note this is the annual salary range for candidates that are based in the United States.
