Pay range: $135,000 - $175,000 annually

Your Opportunity:

TechSource is hiring a full-time Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer to serve as the technical subject matter expert to identify candidates and work scope for future business growth. conduct construction document reviews and work on large-scale projects from planning to execution phases supporting Department of Energy (DOE) facilities. You will work a hybrid work arrangement in Aiken, SC or Knoxville, TN, depending on your location.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Identify candidates and work scope for large HVAC projects at two Department of Energy facilities.
  • Provide technical HVAC direction to engineers.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate process/engineering team/design projects from inception to project startup.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 7 or more years of HVAC engineering experience in nuclear facilities, including project management expertise.
  • US citizenship is required for this role.
  • Working knowledge of federal (including DEO Orders), state, and local codes/standards applicable to HVAC designs and systems.

Preferred requirements:


  • Active DOE Q or Top Secret security clearance.
  • DOE/NNSA work experience.
