Financial Analyst I

Primary Responsibilities:
-Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
-Creates ad hoc reports and performs financial analysis.
-Develops financial plans and reports for organizational leaders.
-Reviews financial reporting and ensures data integrity to enable management decisions.
-Evaluate capital expenditures and depreciation.
-Analyze processes to identify gaps that can improve profit margins.

Qualifications:

  • Required:

    • Associate's Degree in related field of study.

    • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance (can include internship experience).

  • Preferred:

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field of study.

    • 2+ years of experience in a role within a large healthcare organization.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Good analytical and mathematical skills.
- Intermediate Excel is required (pivot tables and V lookups).
- Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time.
- GAAP - Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data.

Schedule and Work Model:

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday, standard business hours.

  • Hybrid work model, but primarily remote. Occasional meetings at Assembly Row in Somerville, MA and on-site work at the hospital labs in Boston, MA.

  • On remote workdays, employees must use a stable, secure, and compliant workstation in a quiet environment. Teams Video is required and must be accessed using MGB-provided equipment.
