Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ARNP for Imaging Services. In this position you will work closely with radiologists and other medical professionals to provide exceptional diagnostic and therapeutic services in the field of medical imaging. Your expertise will contribute to accurate and timely diagnoses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, protect patient health and safety, and provide world-class customer service. You will act as a concierge provider by communicating closely with key stakeholders. In addition to clinical work, this position will be the primary leader of the clinical site overseeing personnel and facilities management. This position is accountable for the provision of patient care and other duties as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation (Hospital), Credentialing and Scope of Practice (Medical Group), Collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to perform various imaging procedures, which may include (but are not limited to): radiographs, computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), arthrograms and ultrasounds.
  • Assist in patient assessments and physical examinations to gather relevant information for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans based on imaging findings, collaborating with the referring healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, providing clear instructions, and addressing any concerns or questions. Report critical findings to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Perform intra articular and joint injections pre-MRI and CT exams.
  • May assist with Intravenous starts (IV starts) and the administration of MRI and CT contrast.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients' responses to imaging procedures, identifying and reporting any adverse reactions or complications. Provide care if a contrast reaction is observed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and providing necessary instructions for pre- and post-procedure care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient encounters, imaging results, and treatment plans in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in imaging technology, techniques, and safety protocols, participating in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Engage and support relevant accreditation activities with Imaging management.
  • Provide networking and marketing assistance for Imaging to attract new business opportunities. This may include (but are not limited to): hosting tours, going on site visits, handing out marketing materials, attending conferences/functions, calling provider offices, etc.
  • Perform clinical operational oversight and duties of onsite and front-line caregivers including (but not limited to): staffing, scheduling, coaching, timecard management, corrective actions, recruiting, etc.
  • Facilitate the ordering of consumable supplies and other needs to facilitate care.
  • Ensure proper upkeep of physical facilities and equipment.
  • Partner with local and Facilities Maintenance and IT Support teams to schedule and coordinate repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain local licensure and accreditation requirements. This includes business licenses, annual physics testing, and all other regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to quality assurance protocols, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of radiological procedures and equipment.
  • Conduct intervention procedures (e.g. lumbar punctures and arthrograms) as applicable.
  • Applicable experience as defined by position leadership.
  • Specialization or experience in medical imaging, such as radiology or nuclear medicine.
  • Proficiency in performing and interpreting various imaging procedures, including (but not limited to): X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, arthrograms, ultrasounds, and nuclear medicine studies.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to imaging.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, healthcare professionals, and support staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical and professional standards.
  • Experience managing a care team with demonstrated supervisory skills.

Requirements

  • Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
  • Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.
  • Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
  • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Other certification as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).
  • Applicable certification from a recognized certifying organization such as American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $91.11 - $91.11 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
